Another Engagement Card

I just wanted to share with you a card I made for some friends who recently got engaged!
I tried to keep it fairly simple, and made them their own little logo type thing with their initials in:

I embossed the backgrounds using my Cuttlebug All-in-One folders
I designed the logo on my Cricut Gypsy, attempting to draw inspiration from the classic entwined rings
Printed and foiled the sentiment then cut out, embossed and inked with the Nesties and DI! And added some little rhinestones and ribbons to finsih off

12 Tags of 2012 - September

So I have FINALLY got round to doing my September Tag for Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2012!
As usual with me I didn't quite have everything so I made a few things up but I think that is kinda the point to inspire you to be creative!

Here is my tag:

So for my background I had no metal foil tape, so attempted to make my own by just running regular kitchen foil through my xyron! It worked fairly well but obviously isn't quite as thick as the real stuff, and obviously my alcohol inks were a bit more 'girly' rather than the rustic metal look of Tim's but I really liked this so stuck with it.
I cut this globe out using my Cricut as I knew the wording of the sentiment I wanted to use, this I also did on word printed it out, cut out with one of my nesties and then distressed with DI!
I had no metal numbers either, so cut this out with my Cricut again and then embossed with Platinum UTEE and I really like the effect!!!
So all in all very happy with my final result! I added a key I'd molded from Clay and a little letter ornament as my finishing touches!

Especially For You Christmas Card

I made this card for the SSD DT Call. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this image, and so kept the rest of the card fairly simple.
I shall also be entering into Anything Goes
I embossed the corners of the base card using the Cuttlebug All-In-One Christmas set.
Coloured the image in with coloured pencils and mattted her on an embossed nestie with foam tape.
I highlighted the berries in the embossed design with some little red rhinestones,
 Printed and foiled a sentiment
And voila!

Faux Leather with Polymer Clay

Just thought I'd share these little tags and my second attempt at a journal that I just made as I'm really proud of them and I LOVE this technique!!
They are made out of Polymer Clay and designed to look like leather and I think they turned out really well! Woo hoo!

So this is my little journal, something went a bit wrong with the spine though so it wont sit flat - all notes for next time! I'm really pleased with the clay cover though!!

And here are my tags!!! I LOVE THEM!!!

Pearl Anniversary Card

Hi Bloggers,

This is a card I made for my Mum to give to her friends who are celebrating their 30th Wedding Anniversary, which of course is pearl.  So I kept it really minimalist in cream and silver with pearl accents and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

I pearlised my based card with Perfect Pearls Mists in Biscotti then cut out the borders from my Parisian Accents, and stuck these round the edge, adding a little dot of pearl paint in each hole.
Then I used Bench Bears from Dis Digi Downloads, and added a sentiment, which I then printed out and foiled in silver. Cut it out using my labels nesties and added some more little pearl accents on the sides as well as to highlight her bow and the centre of one of the flowers in his pocket.

Then I just added some little flowers in the corner and again used some pearl paint for the centres and voila!!

Polymer Clay Journal

Hi There Bloggers.

I just wanted to share with you my first attempt at 2 things 1. A Hard Back Journal and 2. A Polymer Clay Cover for it and hopefully get any feedback from all you lovely fellow crafty people out there.
Obviously there is a long way to go with my clay skills as I am still very much a beginner, but I did manage to create my first successful skinner blend which was an achievement in itself.

Anyway here it is:

It is a little A7 book, and I actually really like this size of book as it's nice to carry around but still big enough to actually be useful!
I used this tutorial on how to make a hard back book, there are loads of them out there but this was the most simple one that I found as it used staples instead of sewing and I just wanted to have a play.
Anyway I would hugely appreciate peoples feedback and comment on how I could improve this really!
