Reversible Tote Bag!

Hello All

I will have pictures up soon of the very much new and improved Bob (My Craft Room), but there are still a few little tweaks to go.

Anyhoo I just wanted to share with you my first bit of sewing that I have done in about 10 years!! I subscribe to the magazine CraftSeller and they had a pattern for a reversible bag this month, so I thought it looked fairly easy (it actually wasn't as easy as I had hoped but I persevered and I did it - HOORAH)!

I chose the spotty and stripey materials as I thought they were fun and complimented each other very nicely! I also got these free for renewing my CraftSeller subscription - so double HOORAH!!

I shall be making many more of these for presents and things once I've got the knack down a bit more as I think they're fab - especially that you can pick which pattern you have!!

An Update on the Mammoth Sort Out!

Hi All!

So I am still thoroughly overwhelmed and there is still quite a way to go but progress is being made!
So Far I have gone from this:

And this

To This:
 To This
And this is currently where I am at:

And from this

 To This:

I am currently in love with jars! I have all my ribbons stored in them with holes in the top so I can just pull them out when I need them.
And then jars full of embellishments! I need to get more!
I shall be back when it's all finished!

Wooden Box and Notelets

Hi All

I just wanted to share this box and notelets that I made for my friend Gemma for Christmas! I was so pleased with how it turned out and luckily she loved it too!!

I have recently been trying my hand at Pyrography using the Purple Cows Sizzle Tool which I love and so decorated this box which was big enough to hold the A6 notecards I had made to go inside.
I embossed the base card using the Thank You folder from Cuttlebug All In One and inking the clear side with Antique Linen DI before running it through!
I then punched a hole in the corner of the base, stamped the same colour card with a script stamp in Coffee Archival Ink which I matted behind the hole.  Went round the outside with a thin gold border peel off and then placed all different coloured Prima flowers in the middle with either pearls or crystals in the centre.

Then tied them all up in a bow and put them in the box!

This is my first Make It Monday entry of 2013!! Hooray!!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everyone!!
Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Year! I don't know where the end of 2012 went, it just seemed to disappear in a big mass of no blogging which was sad, so I'm hoping to do more this year!

One of my other New Years Resolutions is to sort out my Craft Room (affectionately known as Bob) as it has made the transition from Organised Chaos to just Absolute Chaos and so I'm hoping to get it to just Organised!!

I thought I might share with you all my starting point so you can see what I'm dealing with here and the (hopefully) see how wonderful it is going to become!! So deep breath (look away if you are of a nervous disposition) Here we go:

Feel free to scream or cry or do both!! I have been feeling thoroughly overwhelmed and therefore putting it off for weeks but the time has come and today we have actually emptied the entire room - HOORAH (I'll post more pictures of the the work in progress soon)!!

But wish me luck!
