Cupcake Challenge 182 Yellow and Red

Well what an absolutely wonderful day I've had today! I found out I won the the comment prize on Make It Monday, not only that but lovely Margaret nominated me for the Liebster Award which is so lovely and has completely made my day!

So anyway amongst all that wonderment I have made a card (yay!), this one is for Cupcake Craft Challenges which this week is Yellow and Red, a lovely colour combination and you should see some of the fantastic works of art the Design Team have come up with this week, some stunning stuff!!

Here is my contribution:
Absolutely love the cute little duckie image! Absolutely adorable and from my MCS range!
Debossed the strip down the right hand side using Aged Mahogany DI and using the Cuttlebug All in One folders and added some glossy accents to the raindrops!
Added some Mulberry Flowers to the corners and added some brads to the centres
This is the inside of the car, nice little flower in the bottom right to tie it all in together.
And of course that little bit of bling just to finish it all off.
Thank you all for a wonderful day!

Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop and My Dads Birthday Card

In my quest this week to comment on pretty much every Make It Monday project (just for fun) I have found another blog challenge over at Pumpkin Spice, which today is a blog hop and has the theme Boy Crazy, where you had to include at least one circle, piece of twine and button.  The masculine theme was just perfect as it's my Dad's birthday next week and I needed to make him a card, so that's exactly what I did:

This is an 8x8 card! So I cut a piece of paper slightly more scrunched it up and then inked straight from the pad with Aged Mahogany and Vintage Photo, gave it a quick spritz with water then dried it with my heat gun and then ironed it flat with an ecautsic (something like that) iron so it was flat! Then I inked some more card with Vinatge Photo, cut out Parisian Accents border and inked through the die again! (my absolute fave die at the moment seem to be using it with everything)!
I printed out the picture of the car and added some Glossy Accent to highlight various parts, cut out a mat and around the image with the Cricut, slightly inked around the car image so it was a little more 'vintage' in keeping with the rest of the card! The sentiment was printed out and then foiled, then I cut it out with my scalloped circle die and did a bit more inking!
For the twine I inked some natural twine with the Vintage Photo and Aged Mahogany and then twisted the two strands together and around the card! For the button I made my own out of Polymer Clay, by mixing red and black together so it went with the card, impressing a stamp to give texture then cutting out a circle with little cookie cutters! I attached this to the twine with an extra piece of twine!
And although it's a male card I added just those little bits of bling to finish it off!
Hope you like

Inked Paws Challenge 1 - Card 2

So this is my second card for the Inked Paws challenge using their second image "It's a Duck's Do" such a cute image!! And this time I stuck my image down firmly on its mat before colouring with my Distress Inks so No Creases!! Hooray!!

Went for quite a vibrant colour scheme this time to compliment the cute little chickies having their party!!
The flowers are from Mulberry, I just added a brad into the medium sized ones and little pearls to the centre of the smaller ones in the top corner

Lovely image! Hugely enjoying something new with colouring Digis!

Inked Paws Challenge 1

Another First Challenge this time over at Inked Paws! Very excited and happy to be making a start into the world of Blog challenges with challenges also just starting out! Yay entering out on the road together!

So anyway this challenge has the theme "All Creatures Big and Small" and the team have very kindly provided two freebie images for us all to play with! I've started with Me and My friend however hope to have a go with the Duck Do (I think thats what it is called) later!

Now I'm afraid my colouring leaves a bit to be desired (I just used Distress Inks and water brushes as I don't yet used Images enough to invest in my markers and also haven't really got a clue what I'm doing, but hopefully it hasn't turned out too bad for a novice!

So this was my card but unfortunately due to colouring with water it slightly distorted the paper shape and I ended up with the horrible ugly crease at the bottom of my image :-(!

So needs must I got a paper flower and inked it in the same way and put a yellow button in the centre, however I thought that this yellow button was too yellow...
... So I went for this slightly lighter one instead, and while it still sticks out maybe a little too much at least it blends in and looks prettier than the crease so it will have to do!
So here is a picture of my final card, I used some patterned paper, lilac pearl card, Nesties and the border and corners from my Parisian accents
With that final touch of a bit of bling in the corners!
                 Different angle ^^
