Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop and My Dads Birthday Card

In my quest this week to comment on pretty much every Make It Monday project (just for fun) I have found another blog challenge over at Pumpkin Spice, which today is a blog hop and has the theme Boy Crazy, where you had to include at least one circle, piece of twine and button.  The masculine theme was just perfect as it's my Dad's birthday next week and I needed to make him a card, so that's exactly what I did:

This is an 8x8 card! So I cut a piece of paper slightly more scrunched it up and then inked straight from the pad with Aged Mahogany and Vintage Photo, gave it a quick spritz with water then dried it with my heat gun and then ironed it flat with an ecautsic (something like that) iron so it was flat! Then I inked some more card with Vinatge Photo, cut out Parisian Accents border and inked through the die again! (my absolute fave die at the moment seem to be using it with everything)!
I printed out the picture of the car and added some Glossy Accent to highlight various parts, cut out a mat and around the image with the Cricut, slightly inked around the car image so it was a little more 'vintage' in keeping with the rest of the card! The sentiment was printed out and then foiled, then I cut it out with my scalloped circle die and did a bit more inking!
For the twine I inked some natural twine with the Vintage Photo and Aged Mahogany and then twisted the two strands together and around the card! For the button I made my own out of Polymer Clay, by mixing red and black together so it went with the card, impressing a stamp to give texture then cutting out a circle with little cookie cutters! I attached this to the twine with an extra piece of twine!
And although it's a male card I added just those little bits of bling to finish it off!
Hope you like
