Overwhelmed!

Aaaah I'm still finding all this blogging a bit overwhelming and the fact that I haven't ben able to make anything recently due to energy sapping virus (that is its new (un)official name) I also have nothing to share so instead I shall have to upload some back dated samples but I guess it's all new as I am all new to the world of blogging!!

In recent months I have really got into box making (I'm not really sure why) but my friend at work asked me to make her a jewellery box and this is what I came up with:




Its far from perfect, but not too shabby for a first attempt I felt! I used my Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Faded Jeans and Scattered Straw (I think) to ink up some Centura Snow White Pearl Paper and then stamped a pattern over the top again using Faded Jeans.  For the inside of the box I inked up the paper just using Scattered Straw Ink! And then made the flower using Centura Pearl Card and inking with Scattered Straw again and fixed it with a blue gem brad!

    I am going to be the first to say hello and welcome you to the world of blogging. I think you have made a great start, much better than when I started. Your jewellery box is amazing and I am sure your friend loved it. Your inking is perfect and I must admit that I am not that good at it (taking classes at the moment).
    If you get hooked and fancy entering challenges but don't know where to start. Take a look at the challenges I enter and you may find some that suits you.
    Keep crafting and I will be popping over to see you occasionally to get some more inspiration for inking.

    Hi there again Nat .Youre happy with it and I bet your friend is happy with it .I think it looks amazing .Love the colours and the flower is perfect embellishing .
