12 Tags of 2012 - July Tag

Hello Bloggers,
I feel like I've been away from blog land forever I've been really busy as I had a fair at the weekend and my Best Friend's Wedding is at the end of the month which I am doing all the stationery for as well as being her Maid of Honour so have been running around with Dress Fittings and all the fun that comes with that!!
Sadly due to all that business I have no idea where June went and didn't actually get round to doing my June Tag (but shall catch up at some point cause I don't want to be a tag short) but I am up to date and ready with my July Offering for Tim's 12 Tags of 2012 which this month was playing with Alcohol Inks yay!!

So Tim's technique used a can of air to spread the alcohol inks around, but I didn't have this so instead I used the old school favourite of a straw and some puff from yours truly, and while you don't get such a big 'splat' I think it works just as well!!
I stamped the images with Jet Black Archival, and used Pappilion (not sure that's spelt right) and Shabby French.
I also don't have any of the word sticks so made my own using Polymer Clay and some stamps and quite liked how this turned out!
To finish off I stained some ribbon and added a little clay key I made ages ago!

  4. I just adore all of the colors you chose in your background & giggled with the personal puff touch you added. Just very unique & varied way to demonstrate the technique. Just love the way this entire piece of heART came together. HUGS OO

  5. This reminds me of the yearly flight of the butterflies that happens at a local garden near us. The most amazing sights of butterflies everywhere. As soon as I saw your tag it reminded me of just that. Gorgeous work!

  8. Beautiful tag. Love all the color and especially like how you used polymer clay in lieu of a word band. Very clever, yet brilliant.
