So it's time for the third challenge over at Inked Paws and this time round it is Monochromatic. I decided to use Bubbles again as I completely adore her, and as soon as I saw the theme I knew exactly what I wanted to do!! Who said Monochromatic had to just be black and white?
Not me so I chose Turquoise instead!! I kept it very simple as really this image speaks for itself! I just coloured her in with Broken China Distress Ink, layered the card up, added some bling (of course) and voila!!

Pink Easter Bunny
For this card I was inspired by The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog Think Pink with Rabbits, which kinda does what it says on the tin! So then I thought I have the cutest Easter Bunny image from Di's Digi Downloads (if you haven't checked out her digis you really should they are stunning!!) So with all this in mind I set off on my mission and here is the result:
I can't even put into words how much I am absolutely in love with this image, it is just THE CUTEST!! Anyhoo, I inked the background with DI in Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose and a teensie bit of Scattered Straw. Then embossed a strip of white card and punched a border.
I made these flowers, by cutting them out with my Cricut Art Nouveau cartridge, inking with DI and then scrunching them while they were wet. When they dried I layered them up, rubbed some DI straight from the pad on the edges, spritzed with perfect pearls mists and then finally added some seed beads in the centre.

Aaaah So Cute!! The image is coloured with DI again using a water brush and is matted onto some pink card.
I found this selection of lovely flowers in an embellishment pack I had got for christmas and not yet used any of, so I layered them up together and added some little gems in the middle and I really love the way they came out! I shall definitely be going back to these again. And of course as usual I added just those little extra bits of bling on the corners of the image to properly finish it off!!

Engagement Card
Hello Bloggers,
I cut out the names using my Cricut and then embossed them with my Cuttlebug and inked over it with DI in Old Paper just to make it stand out a bit, the ring is from the Cuttlebug All In One True Love set. Then layered this panel on some black card, and added a touch of pink bling!
Then I added a bit of pink ribbon, printed out the sentiment, layered this on some black card and placed it over the ribbon with some foam tape
The inside of the card. I decided to foil this sentiment, just to make it a bit more special.
Just wanted to share an Engagement card I made for my Aunt for give to friends that have just got engaged (does that make sense). She wanted something elegant that matched their invitation for their engagement party which basically consisted of cream and black with a bit of pink so I did my best to oblige.

Busy Busy Busy
Hello Fellow Bloggers!
I feel like I haven't blogged in ages, I've been busy making flowers for my friends table plan for their wedding as well as doing their favour boxes and place names, but everything is coming along nicely and I'm very pleased with it all!!
This is a basket full of the flowers I've been making which will eventually become the Table Plan with a difference! All very exciting, but still about 20 more of these little beauties to be made.
I'm so pleased with it! The cake is stamped with Paint and then inked over with Distress Stains! Absolutely love this effect!!

I've also been watching/attending however you like to be it, Tim Holtz's Creative Chemistry classes which have been absolutely fabulous!! Onto Day 8 already and I just want absolutely everything!! Anyway today I actually made something as I had all of the instruments needed for the technique he showed and as soon as I saw it I knew exactly what I wanted to do, and this is it:

Added a bit of embossing and some bling to just finish it off! And matted my focal element into some silver mirri board as I though it brought it all together nicely!!

Going Round In Springy Circles
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend with St Patricks and Mother's Day! I had a wonderful day on Saturday at Stitch and Craft in Olympia so have lots of new crafty goodies and inspiration to play with - Hoorah!!
For this card I have combined two challenges: Inked Paws #2 Spring (you really must check out Kelly's Digis they are astonishingly beautiful!!) and Cupcake Craft Challenges #184 Going Round In Circles
Here is what I've done!
I clear embossed some flourish designs on the base card then inked over the top with my Distress Inks.
I love this image from Inked Paws and when I say love, I mean LOVE!!!! She is called Bubbles and she is just amazing!! I know it's not the most spring like image but I was just so excited to use her. So have coloured her in with my distress inks in what I consider to be spring like colours! And added a bit of bling, although I hindsight I wish I had done these swirls in green so that they would be more like seaweed, oh well next time!
Then I added some lovely vibrant flowers! I made the middle one, it's inked with Broken China Distress Ink and the other two are from Mulberry
I cut out the image with my Scalloped Circles Nesties and also made a faux one to mat it on.
Haven't made a round card in a very long time, so it was fun and something different to crack out the round base cards!

Uncles Birthdays Card
Hello Everyone,
Thought I'd share a card I made for my Uncle with you:
The image is another one that I got from Di's Digi Downloads and it's so cute! I just love it! I coloured it in with my Distress Inks and water brushed as I am yet to invest in any form of pens!
Embossed the backing blue card using the Cuttlebug All In One, then foiled a sentiment and cut out with the scalloped circles Nesties and inked through the die.
How cute is the Hedgehog!! Di has some great images, definitely check her out!

Platypus Creek Challenge 2 and Mothers Day Card
A big thank you to Tracey and everyone at Platypus Creek Digitals as I was selected to win 4 of their images from last weeks challenge! Which is hugely exciting and I am putting my winnings to good use by entering their second challenge and at the same time making my Mum's Mother's Day Card. The challenge this week asks that you use Ribbon, Printed Papers and Embellishments in your design, so I used their Digi Amber and here is what I created:
Went for a lilac and teal theme for something a bit different!! I Love this digi so much she is so adorable!
I'm not grown up at all and everybody knows it, so made printed out my own sentiment to that effect lol!
Some Ribbon and some bling as two of the elements for the challenge with vast amounts of printed paper for the third!
Simple inside, bit of bling never hurts though!

Owl Birthday Card
Hello Everyone, hope you all had a good weekend! It's been a busy one for me with my Dad's birthday (he liked his card - hoorah) and another friend's birthday whose card I am sharing today (she also liked it - double hoorah!)
Anyway she likes owls so obviously it had to be an owl related card:
So this is a 6x6 kraft card, I inked a square piece of yellow card with Dusty Concord, Broken China and Faded Jeans DI!
I found a nice picture of an owl on MCS CD rom, printed it out and then foiled it with silver foil! Then I cut it out with my Nesties (labels 5 i think) and did some inking through the die, as well as making a faux nestie out of purple cardstock by drawing round the die and cutting it out.
I used my Parisian Accent corners and the border to add a bit more interest, as well as some paper flowers and a nice bit of swirly bling which I used the bazzil templates and stuck each rhinestone on
Really like how it turned out!

Bench Bears
So this is my first play with one of the images I got from Di's Digi Downloads. It's called Bench Bears and it's just absolutely adorable! Once again I feel my colouring leaves a little to be desired but I've given it my best shot:
Love this image, just so so adorable! Classic boy and girl blue and pink hehe!
Some flowers and a nice bit of bling
I made this flower, cut it out using Cricut and inked it using Tattered Rose DI and shaped it using the very high tech instrument of a cocktail stick, and added a gem in the middle. With some branch corners also cut out with the Cricut!

12 Tags of 2012 - March
So I've got finally got round to doing what I think will be my first attempt at March's 12 Tags of 2012 over on Tim Holtz's blog! So I had none of the equipment that Tim used to make this tag other than some Distress Inks and some Perfect Pearls therefore it was Improv Time!!
So this is Tim's tag:
And here is my take on it:
I ended up making up my wording on the computer and printing it out then cutting it into a tag. Didn't have the wood stamp so just used the scrunching technique, and none of the metal accents so just added a little flower I made ages ago!! No grungeboard or butterfly movers and shapers so just cut my flowers with my cricut out of regular cardstock and some little ovals out of patterned paper. Ran them through my xyron and stuck the paper on the added the embossing powder which also had glitter on (I think not such a good move) and then added glossy accents to the patterned paper! I think I did these too big though and had too bigger gaps in between so may try again with smaller pieces of paper and smaller gaps in between. Its all a learning adventure thought isn't it!! Oh and the tag is actually spritzed with perfect pearls as per instructions! Hoorah!

Cupcake Challenge 182 Yellow and Red
Well what an absolutely wonderful day I've had today! I found out I won the the comment prize on Make It Monday, not only that but lovely Margaret nominated me for the Liebster Award which is so lovely and has completely made my day!
So anyway amongst all that wonderment I have made a card (yay!), this one is for Cupcake Craft Challenges which this week is Yellow and Red, a lovely colour combination and you should see some of the fantastic works of art the Design Team have come up with this week, some stunning stuff!!
Here is my contribution:
Absolutely love the cute little duckie image! Absolutely adorable and from my MCS range!
Debossed the strip down the right hand side using Aged Mahogany DI and using the Cuttlebug All in One folders and added some glossy accents to the raindrops!
Added some Mulberry Flowers to the corners and added some brads to the centres
This is the inside of the car, nice little flower in the bottom right to tie it all in together.
And of course that little bit of bling just to finish it all off.
Thank you all for a wonderful day!
